Internal and sustainable governance

Reaching modern standards of operation according to the law governing non-governmental organizations in Cameroon through:

  • Stowage with the requirements of the Cameroonian law governing the operation of NGOs
  • Strengthening the monitoring and evaluation including capitalization.
  • Mobilization of financial resources including sustainable partnerships
  • Strengthening internal governance mechanisms and visibility

In June 2015, FIS organized a workshop with all the staff aimed at:

  • Share and explain the organization’s constitution, internal rules and regulation and the procedure manual.
  • Explain the organigram of the organization with the roles of each organ and the terms of reference of each staff.
  • Gather proposals that can ameliorate the working conditions of the staff.

The strong recommendations and results gotten from the workshop further led us to put in place some measures:

Every Tuesday, FIS holds collaboration meetings to be updated with how events unfold in the organization and to also evaluate the activities of each department. From here, technical or follow up meetings of Project in teams is derived.
