06 FIS experts worked on the TB / HIV Concept Note
Cameroon will submit on Monday 28 August, 2017 its Tuberculosis/HIV Grant request to Global Fund. To do this, the process called Country Dialogue where all Actors write the document serving as a request, is in progress. One of the most important steps in this inclusive process, is the writing of the Concept Note. From July 30th to August 8th, 2017, all the stakeholders took part in the drafting of the Concept Note, the second meeting of this kind after a previous workshop organized from 30 June to 06 July in the same city (Report of the activity is attached to this article).
FIS Cameroon, following a review of the first Draft of this Concept Note, sent not lesser than six Civil Society Experts, fully taken in charge during the workshop, to strengthen the drafting of the request. These included Berthe YEMEFACK and Pierre BENG SANDING for Community Tuberculosis, Dr MBO'O Alain Charlie and Philipe AVEZO'O for Heath System Strengthening (HSS), Rodrigue MBODA for Gender and Human Rights and Benoit BISSOHONG, in charge of Communication and Advocacy within the Organization.
The team of six worked with the other participants to develop a funding request that takes into account the needs of the beneficiary populations in connection with the Tuberculosis and HIV Screening Modules, diagnosis, Treatment, prevention, etc. The Concept Note resulting from this retreat in Kribi will be reviewed again on 14 and 16 August 2017, during another re-reviewing workshop by Civil Society Actors co-organized by FIS and CAMNAFAW. The workhop will take place in Yaounde under the supervision of the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) in accordance with the relevant roadmap produced at the beginning of the process.
